Warrior Women

I love that Demuth calls us “Warrior Women.” That is a very powerful title meant for all Christian women in a world that doesn’t always look at the female population as being powerful. We live in a patriarchal society and in History and Christianity there are not many records of women being at the forefront or often even mattering. We are to serve others, that is true, but it does not mean we are suppose to bow down and let others walk all over us. It means that we are strong enough to help others, we are strong enough to care for our homes and our families, we are strong enough to lift our heads high and praise our Father. We are strong women, we are warrior women who get things done and can truly make an impact on the world around us.

"She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her, saying: 'Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all.'" Proverbs 31:25-29

"You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up." Deuteronomy 6:5-7

"In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." John 16:23-24

*Note: This is a series that I will link up with at "Joyful Mothering;" however, the group discussion will not begin until later this fall. For now, I feel compelled to continue studying and posting what I learn.
